# Switch a collection to another theme template

> Sets the collection's `templateSuffix` on Shopify, which changes the live storefront page at once. Activating a Depict template (suffix starting `depict`) also marks the theme approved. Side effects: the Shopify write, a theme re-onboarding request, and a `template_activated` analytics event. Returns the template now in use.
