# Recommendations

> Review the recommendation surfaces on your storefront and the rules that shape them.

The Recommendations page lists every recommendation surface Depict serves on
your storefront and lets you inspect the merchandising rules applied to each.

## Surfaces

Surfaces are the places recommendations appear, each with its own strategy:

* **Cross-sell** and **Related** — on product pages
* **Recently viewed**
* **Landing page**
* **After basket** and **Checkout**
* **For you** — personalized
* Plus any custom surfaces configured for your store

Click a surface to see its rules.

## Rules

Each rule on a surface has three parts:

* **When showing these products** — the trigger products or collections.
* **Show these products** — products pinned into the recommendations.
* **Hide these products** — products excluded from the recommendations.
