Limits and behavior
- Saved rule changes can take up to 30 minutes to take effect.
- Boost and bury rules do not affect pinned or hidden products.
- Buried products stay visible to shoppers — they are ranked lower, not hidden.
- A rule with no markets selected applies to every market.
- Each condition except Collection can be used at most once per effect side (boost or bury).
- New in (proportional) rules are managed by Depict: they appear in the Boost list but cannot be created or edited in the portal.

Rules
The page shows two lists side by side — Boost and Bury. Rules are created and edited in a modal with a live preview of the products the rule will affect.
Each condition (other than collection rules) can only be used once per effect
side — the same condition can exist as both a boost and a bury, as long as the
two rules’ markets don’t overlap. Market selection is optional: a rule with no
markets selected applies to every market. Picking at least one market is only
required when an opposite-effect rule with the same condition already exists.
When to use what
- Use Boost & Bury for storewide, condition-based pushes (“bury everything with few sizes left”).
- Use collection pinning when you want a specific product in a specific place on a specific page.
- Check the pinned-vs-auto verdicts in collection analytics to see whether your manual interventions actually beat the automatic ranking.
