Activating collections

Turn Depict on per collection. Active collections get the Depict template and appear in the merchandising editor; deactivating restores the collection’s original template. Your plan determines how many collections can be active at once.

Sorting

Each collection gets an automatic sort order:
  • Best selling (by units or revenue)
  • Trending (by units or revenue)
  • Newest / oldest
  • Price (ascending or descending)
  • Alphabetical (A–Z or Z–A)
  • Stock
  • Clicks
  • Manual
On top of the sort order you can pin products to fixed positions. An optional unpin out-of-stock setting automatically releases pins when a product sells out.

Versions, publishing and scheduling

Collection configurations are saved as versions:
  • Publish a version as the main version — the live configuration.
  • Publish market-specific versions for individual Shopify markets or market groups.
  • Schedule a version to go live at a future time (and unschedule it).

Sync back to Shopify

Depict writes the computed product order back into the actual Shopify collection, so the merchandising applies in your theme and every sales channel — no storefront changes needed. The app shows you exactly which order is currently pushed to Shopify, and a revert action restores the original Shopify sort at any time.

Content blocks and imagery

Enrich the collection grid with content blocks (in-grid content tiles, with click analytics and automatic translation into your shop’s locales) and image settings (alternate product imagery per collection).

Collection analytics

  • Sort your collections overview by performance (for example top views) over a date range.
  • Per collection, see product clicks (with average position) and product orders, filterable by market or market group.
  • Preview any collection as a rendered screenshot — this also works on password-protected storefronts.
